Coffee Filters!
After college I worked with lots of coffee filters. Yes, coffee filters. It was when I was working full time at a bar and a lot of my inspiration came from materials I was in contact with. We used HUGE coffee pots and filters. I grabbed one once and thought, these would make a cool dress. Which, they did! I also found that burning the filters created great, organic patterns. I incorporated them into my paintings for a while – and really enjoyed the technique.
I’m currently revisiting this technique and having a great time with it! Let me know what you think, I’d love the feedback.
