A Word on Art Fairs »
Here in MN and WI we are spoiled with a plethora of great art fairs. I just want you all to keep in mind, and spread the word, that art fairs are incredibly expensive to be in. (Edina Art Fair: $435 per artist – plus you must own your own booth.)
I’ve talked with some great artists that have given up doing art fairs since the recession hit. They all have said people come to admire the art, but don’t buy anymore. I’ve seen more and more booths with items mass-produced from china. Let’s not let this become the norm! If you can, support local artists and hand-made goods. :)
